TRUNCATE TRIO (SILVER LINING COLLECTION)
Origin: BIDAR, INDIA
Materials: Sterling Silver on an alloy of copper and zinc, finished with a coating of black soil only found at the Fort of Bidar in India.
Description:

The Truncate Vase series brings together cross cultural currents, combining Japanese kintsugi aesthetics with the Indian craft of bidri silver inlay. Bidriware is traditionally highly ornate, referencing the motifs of its Indo-Persian origins. The minimal design of these vases gives a fresh, contemporary update to this centuries old-craft. The vases come in three sculptural shapes, designed in the EVOKE studio in Bangalore. Each piece is handmade by master artisans in the town of Bidar in southern India, the exclusive and only known centre for this craft.
