WOODABE POT COVERS - CHAD/CAMEROON

Materials: Colourful pot covers like these are handwoven by the Wodaabe, a subgroup of the Fulani people from West Africa. These are used to cover pots used to keep food or store homebrewed beer. They are woven from grasses, cotton thread, and plastic thread. Each pot cover is unique and the centre is usually a geometric circle woven in grass or old plastic bottle caps or lids are used.
