An ‘Imbenge’ is a Zulu traditional beer pot cover hand woven from natural fibers & embellished with beads. It is used as a lid for a beer pot to protect the beer from insects and dust. When beer is removed from the pot, the lid is used to hold a beer-skimming spoon.
