'Parali' is a rice straw waste that is generated after harvesting rice crops. This piece is woven with rice straws and organic cotton. Light and dark gradation in the colour of straws depicts the burning of the paddy waste and the carbon residue left on the scorched earth.​​​​​​​​
The straws used in this piece are woven according to their maturity. The fresh young grass has a lighter new colour and the old grass which is dark in colour, is used on the top.
