Description:

The Pondi chair is made from naturally seasoned teak with a woven rope body. Each piece is entirely handmade in limited numbers by skilled craftspeople from the suthar (carpenter) community of traditional woodwork artisans in India. The concept for this bespoke chair is inspired from George Nakashima's first piece of furniture design from his time in Pondicherry (India) in the 1940s. The chair-back is ergonomically designed and carries a swivel that adjusts to the user's posture.
